From the dawn of civilization to today, paper has played a major role in the advancement of human civilization as it has been involved in all aspects of human life. WARAQ, The name of our organization, was inspired from the Holy Quran, as it appeared in verse (7:22):
(وطفقا يخصفان عليهما من ورق الجنة) : (prompting them to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise)

Personally, I was honoured to work with the founders of WARAQ, the brains behind this organisation, as well as those people who have transformed WARAQ from a small carton factory, to a cardboard recycling factory, and built the export business by commencing local production and export operations. Expanding the reach of WARAQ beyond the borders of our kingdom and across the globe.

Despite the challenges inherent to our local environment, such as a lack of water and energy, WARAQ founders persevered, working tirelessly to ensure WARAQ factory became a well-known paper products provider, and the main supplier to carton factories, paper tube factories, and Formica board factories. With the founding father’s vision as their guide, for more than a quarter of a century, WARAQ has maintained the highest standards of product quality and service excellence. We ensure complete efficiency and fulfilment of contractual and financial obligations toward our customers, while remaining committed to the development and empowerment of our human resources, and to the adherence of environmental safety and regulations laws.

Today WARAQ has multiplied its initial budget many times and expanded its customer list to supply to local, regional, and international markets and, although the paper manufacturing industry faces new challenges every day, WARAQ faces every new challenge professionally and creatively. Our ability to innovate and adapt is key to our longevity and our future success and we are investing heavily in digital infrastructure, and the automation of our operations and maintenance systems, shifting towards smart industrial systems in addition to innovating in our supply chain and wate management infrastructure in order to support Vision 2030 and align with the UN SGDS.

Learning, innovating and growth is a continuous journey and with God’s will, we shall reach our goals, achieve our leadership vision, and grow our shareholder’s investments and continue to benefit all WARAQ stakeholders.
